Check-Out

Anytime before 10.00am

We would request that you leave the hut as you found it and place all rubbish in the recycling bins provided

Parking

The huts are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty so we would ask that once belongings are offloaded that your vehicle is parked in the space allocated to you on the farm, this is only a short walk to your hut. Guests can enjoy the freedom of the paddock.

Pets

Dogs are very welcome to stay, for a small surcharge per night. As we have dogs of our own on the farm, it is important that you dog is sociable with other dogs. All dogs should be kept under control and quiet at all times.

Dogs are welcome in the huts, please bring their own bed, however they must not be left unsupervised.

We request that dogs do not sleep on beds and linen.

Dog waste must be cleaned up and put in the bins provided.

OUR RULES

To ensure that your stay with us is memorable we need to have some rules in place to benefit your safety and wellbeing

sssssshhhhh after 11pm

Please be considerate to our wildlife and neighbours and keep the noise level at a minimum after 10pm. Why not enjoy the sound of silence, watch the sky at night, it is truly spectacular

NO LOUD MUSIC or bright lights

Sound travels a long way and excessive lights pollute the countryside. We do not wish to upset our neighbours by spoiling their peace and quiet

SMOKING

Smoking is allowed outside the huts.  Please do not smoke inside as it increases the risk of fire and is not pleasant for other guests.

DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS or HORSES

You might think you are being generous or kind but this could be hazardous to them

NO unruly DOGS

We have several dogs, cats, sheep and our immediate neighbours have horses. We welcome friendly and well controlled dogs, please keep them from straying

sTRICTLY NO FIREWORKS OR CANDLE LANTERNS

Fireworks can stress out our and our neighbours livestock and pets. This can can lead to unnecessary deaths. Candle lanterns with naked flames could lead to causing devastating fires to our hay and animal barns, these are not permitted.

No climbing

Climbing walls, fences, gates and farm machinery is not permitted, not only can it cause damage but could cause injury to yourself

FIRES

Fires are ONLY permitted in the fire pits and nowhere else.

KITES/balls Use

These are permitted. If the kite or ball/s travel outside the perimeter of the field where the hut is located, the host must retrieve it as the guests are not permitted to climb walls, gates or fences

PLEASE RESPECT OUR FARM

Our shepherd’s huts are located in a field on our working farm. We have kept this location separate for a reason. As it is a working farm there is machinery, barns with tools and equipment which can be extremely dangerous. Please stay in the field and do not wander around.

We are lucky enough to have access to several footpaths, bridal ways and cycle paths in the area, feel free to use them. Please do not trespass on our neighbours land, it may not be safe!

Although there will not be livestock where your hut is located we do have livestock in other fields, uncontrolled dogs and persons can stress these animals which could be fatal (eg stress can cause abortion in pregnant sheep).

Always leave farm gates as you find them – whether they are closed or open, it is for a reason.
